District Swimming Success

Congratulations to the Alsager Cubs from Cherokee and Sioux and Scouts from Gladstone and Somers who took part in this year’s Potteries North District Swimming Gala on Saturday 9th March at Fenton Manor.

It was a fantastic night with Alsager showcasing what a talented group of Cubs and Scouts we have. We had some notable Cub wins with Poppy from Sioux Cubs winning the under 9½ Back Stroke final and Poppy, Albert, Elizabeth and Lenura winning the Relay final.

The Scouts truly dominated the older categories with individual wins from Harvey, George and Olivia and team wins for the Medley and Relay resulting in the overall trophy being awarded to Gladstone Scouts troop. George Alcock also was presented with the outstanding swimmer of the night trophy.

All in all a great night for Alsager! Roll on next years gala!

Christmas Tree Collection Scheme – January 2019

We have now finished our Christmas Tree Collections for this year.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported our Scout Group fundraiser.  If you still need to pay for your Christmas Tree Collection or would like to make a donation to our Scout Group, please click on the link below.
Thank you once again for your support and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Help the environment and Alsager Scout Group this New Year by using our fantastic Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme.

After Christmas let us take away your Christmas Tree for Recycling for a small donation.

Why squeeze a tree into the back of your car and queue at the tip, let alone be picking up pine needles out of the car for the next 6 months, when we can do it all for you!

We will be collecting in and around the Alsager area during the day of:

For a minimum donation of £5 we will come to your home and collect your Christmas Tree.

You can now book your collection or find out more by clicking here

Remembrance Day 2018

A massive thank you to all of our members for your attendance at last weeks remembrance service. We had an amazing turnout from all the sections and the behaviour was exemplary. Special thanks must go to the beavers, cubs, scouts and explorers holding our flags at the cenotaph.

Some of our leader team received VIP invitations to attend the  “A Battle’s Over” celebratory tea party at the Alsager Civic (see below)
